Designed for a young couple’s first home together, this residence is a quiet exploration of warmth, texture, and individuality. The brief called for a rustic aesthetic layered with modern sensibilities, resulting in a space that feels both grounded and contemporary.

At the heart of the home is a carefully curated material palette. Warm wood, muted neutrals, terracotta accents and cane details that brings depth without overwhelming the space. A custom open partition subtly defines the living and dining areas, maintaining visual continuity while adding a sculptural element.

The living room balances restraint and richness. A wood detailed TV wall, paired with a vintage clock, anchors the space, while the opposite wall is intentionally kept minimal. Cane accents and a custom two seater sofa in African teak introduce texture and craftsmanship, softened further by layered furnishings and styling.

In the dining area, wooden battens and a teal blue rustic cabinet create a gentle contrast, complemented by open shelving and a jute wall light that adds a handcrafted touch. Across the home, lighting is thoughtfully layered, ambient, task, and accent..bringing warmth and depth to every corner.

Moments of material expression are seen in the stone-clad vanity, paired with a handcrafted wooden basin, adding a raw, tactile quality. The puja unit remains simple and rooted, with subtle traditional detailing that blends seamlessly into the overall language. Each bedroom is designed with a distinct mood. The parents room is soft and calming, while the master bedroom embraces a bold identity with continuous textured fi nishes across walls and ceiling, paired with custom-designed furniture in African teak. Clean wardrobe details with lacquered glass introduce a sense of balance. The guest room doubles as a personal retreat, featuring a curated display of Shiva artworks collected over time, making the space deeply expressive and intimate.

Completed end to end from design and customization to styling and procurement this home is a refl ection of thoughtful living, where every detail is intentional and every space feels personal.
